Royal Oman Police (ROP) recently introduced credit card payment in all its offices and this includes border posts, confirmed an ROP source. This will make travel between Oman and the UAE easier. Travellers now have the option to pay in cash or with a credit card for their visa, which is priced AED200 for general visitors and AED50 for UAE residents. The credit card payment option is available at all border points between Oman and the UAE, of which Hatta is the most visited border crossing. In the same direction lie the Al Ain/Buraimi border and Khatmat Malahi border, while residents from Fujairah are more likely to enter Oman at the Wajajah border. In the north, the UAE is bordering another part of Oman, with border points at Khasab and Dibba. Source: Travel Daily
