Kuwait's Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that passenger traffic at Kuwait International Airport increased by 7 percent and air traffic by 8 percent in February, in comparison to the same month of 2011. DGCA statement said, on Sunday, that the total number of passengers hiked by 720,000. The total number of arriving passengers hit 381,000 while the departing passengers reached 340,000 in February 2012. Air traffic, meanwhile, totaled 6,809 flights from and to Kuwait airport during last month. The total number of commercial flights of this month amounted to 5,981. The total of air cargo reached 14.5 million kilograms in January, the statement pointed out.
