Qatar Airways recently hosted a signature event to celebrate the rapid success of its 7th US destination, Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). Launched on July 1st, the DFW to Doha route has greatly expanded connectivity to India, the Middle East, East Asia, and Australia.
The event, which was attended by over 150 guests from the Corporate and Travel Trade spheres, featured exciting entertainment from Grammy award nominee and Texas country music legend, Pat Green, Jazz vocalist and a rising star in the Dallas music scene, Hale Baskin, and Texas' guitar hero Rhett Butler.
The evening was hosted by Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Marwan Koleilat, who extended a warm welcome to guests to mark the new link between Dallas/Fort Worth and the State of Qatar.
"This event is in celebration of a long-standing relationship between Qatar Airways and the State of Texas. Our success in Houston paved the way for further expansion within Texas. Dallas/Fort Worth’s response to our award-winning five-star service has been overwhelmingly positive so far," said Koleilat.
"Qatar Airways and DFW have already proven an extremely successful partnership; one which I hope will continue long into the future. We will continue to welcome passengers from DFW on board, to experience our renowned five-star service and into our new home at Hamad International Airport - the world's newest aviation hub," added the airline's Vice President - Commercial for the Americas, Titus Johnson.
During the event, Qatar Airways gave the guests an exclusive opportunity to experience the five star luxury and comfort of its Boeing 777 Business Class seat.
The airline has seen rapid growth in just 17 years of operation, to the point where today it is flying a modern fleet of 137 aircraft to 144 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
