Thai police on Monday said they are looking for two robbers who slashed a Russian female tourist and stole her possessions in eastern province of Chonburi, Bangkok Post online reported. Police said Yeneya Nicolina, 25, a Russian national, was attacked in Chon Bang Lamung district. She received several knife wounds on her body. She was taken to Pattaya Memorial Hospital for her treatment. Police said the victim was followed by two men on a motorcycle from Jomtien Beach. They attacked her right before she reached her hotel and stole 3,000 baht in cash, a mobile phone and a digital camera. Police said the victim fought back when the thieves tried to take her gold necklace so they slashed her with a knife. The suspects ran away after the victim cried for help. Police said they would look at surveillance camera pictures in the area to see if they had footage of the robbers.
