Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport received a record number of 51 million passengers in the year of 2012, up 2.6 percent from a year earlier, and saw its revenue rise by 5.8 percent to 1.4 billion euros (about 1.86 billion U.S. dollars), the airport announced on Friday. Net profits amounted to 199 million euros, an increase of 2.2 percent compared to 2011, President and CEO of the Schiphol Group Jos Nijhuis said in a press release.
