Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh will host the 10th International Conference on Tourism and Hospitality (ICTH) on Wednesday, with the participation of delegations from 20 Arab and foreign countries.
The conference, which aims to promote tourism to Egypt, will be held in cooperation with Britain's Bournemouth University.
The four-day conference will also see the participation of 400 attendees from the UAE, Italy, France, the US, Germany, China, Mexico, Korea, Malaysia, Nigeria, Jordan, Tunisia and Libya, said Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Egypt's Fayoum University Hanaa Abdel Qader.
The conference will bring together tourism experts, researchers, professionals and members of the civil community to outline a strategy that will place Egypt again on the international tourism map, she added.
Within the framework of the conference, an international Pharaonic festival would be held, she further said.
Also, a workshop and a round table will also be organized with the participation of key investors, she added.
Battered by years of political turmoil, once-strong Egypt's tourism sector took another blow after the Russian passenger plane crash in the Sinai Peninsula that killed all 224 people on board, mostly Russian vacationers on October 31, 2015.
