The South Sinai Investors' Association has called for quickly establishing a fund to support the tourism sector.
The association is seeking to get loans from the fund, it estimates to total some two billion pounds, at low interest rates.
The government should act to promote tourism to Egypt and secure the funds needed to implement projects, train workers and upgrade facilities, said Atef Abdel Latif, a member of the association, in a statement received by MENA Monday.
Abdel Latif pressed for action to save the tourism sector and solve all its problems.
He made it clear that presidents of banks had promised to solve problems facing investors.
