A Sudanese plane made an emergency landing at El Obeid Airport in North Kurdufan province after its windshield crashed en route to Balila Airport in West Kurdufan province.
The plane was carrying 42 passengers including Sudanese Petroleum Minister Mohamed Zayed Awad, the police chief and the head of the judiciary authority in the province, said head of police in North Kurdufan province El Hadi Ahmed el Dagsh.
A plane carrying engineers arrived at Obeid Airport to repair the plane’s windshield while the passengers including the senior officials, continued their flight to Balila Airport on board of another plane.
Reasons behind the windshield crash have not been yet known.
