Luxury river cruise operator Tauck is to waive its single supplement on all category one cabins for 2014 itineraries. The incentive, which is being rolled out across its European voyages, will also include savings made on other cabins across the vessel. By their very nature, our guided tours and cruises provide a wonderful camaraderie and sense of assurance that’s typically absent when one travels alone,” said Tauck CEO Dan Mahar. “What’s more, we handle all of the advance planning and details for our guests, so there’s no anxiety or worry. By eliminating or reducing the single supplement on so many of our trips, we’re really making great journeys for solo travellers even better.” The company will be taking US$1,000 off the price of category four and five cabins on 28 of its departures of 13 cruises. While there will be dedicated single cabins installed on its two new river ships, which will launched next year. Source: Travel Daily
