A group of top UK chefs that includes Raymond Blanc, Tom Kerridge and Anton Mosimann will be hosting pop-up dinners aboard luxury trains for train buffs who also have fine dining palates.
Throughout 2015, the Belmond British Pullman and the Belmond Northern Belle will turn their luxurious art deco carriages, circa 1920s, 1930s, into Michelin-grade fine dining restaurants, where guests will go back in time and revisit the golden era of rail travel.
In July, chef Tom Kerridge, whose Marlow eatery The Hand & Flowers is the only pub to hold two Michelin stars, will recreate the pub experience aboard the Belmond British Pullman.
In November, Raymond Blanc, chef of the Michelin-starred Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Oxfordshire, will prepare a five-course menu aboard the Belmond Northern Belle for guests departing York.
And Anton Mosimann, perhaps best known for having prepared the menu for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s royal wedding, will showcase his culinary philosophy “Cuisine Naturelle” that uses fresh ingredients, devoid of oils, fats and salt, on an epicurean journey that leaves London Victoria.
He also owns one of the most exclusive private dining clubs in London, Mosimann’s, popular with politicians, royals and celebrities.
Events start at €470 a person.
