In statements on Sunday, Ramy said 119 surveillance cameras were installed across the governorate to provide security for tourists and citizens alike.
He noted that five vehicles were purchased to secure tourist groups on their tours in the governorate.
"A project is underway to use solar-powered lampposts along the road linking between Nabaq and Montazah cities," Ramy said.
He added that the Tourism Development Authority has funded a project to upgrade the entrance to Saint Catherine city.
Ramy noted that coordination is underway between the Tourism Ministry and South Sinai governorate to finalize such projects as soon as possible.
