Oman - Arab Today

Jabal Akhdhar is witnessing an influx of tourists during and after the Eid al Fitr holidays from the Sultanate and abroad. The occupancy rates in hotels and hotel apartments have reached more than 90% at tourist destination especially during the weekends. Nabhan bin Said al Nabhani, CEO of Sahab Hotel said: “The summer tourism season in Jabal Akhdhar, starting from April to October, constitutes mainly family tourism by Omani citizens and residents, in addition to GCC citizens and residents. However, the winter tourism season, starting from November to March, is mostly preferred by tourists from Europe and the Americas.” He further added: “It is required that the government entities should also add more tourist resorts to promote Jabal Akhdhar so that visitors would spend more than one night and this would add high touristic value.” Source: Travel Daily
