A Turkish passenger plane skidded off runway in Indian business hub Mumbai early Friday with no injuries to passengers, said a local media report. The Turkish Airways flight TK-720, took off from Istanbul with 97 passengers and crewmembers, skidded off rapid exit taxiway N8 and stuck in the mud at around 4:00 a.m.. The main runway with Mumbai International Airport was closed for operations after incident. Efforts are under way to remove the aircraft and clear runway to restore normal operation, said an unidentified official. Bad weather might be the cause the incident. International flights usually arrive to and leave from Mumbai in the early morning. A Gulf Air plane skidded off runway in south India's Cochin on August 29.
