This April, more than 150,000 guests will make their way to Verona, Italy for the 47th annual Vinitaly. Every year at Vinitaly, over 4,000 exhibitors offer the latest and greatest in wine and spirits. Since the event began, it has traced the evolution of the international wine system, welcoming manufacturers, caterers, distributors, technicians, wine ambassadors, experts, and journalists from all over the world. Notable exhibitions this year include the likes of Canavese Nebbiolo, Abruzzo Bianco, Barolo, and Botticino. Attendees from more than 110 different countries will participate in a number of special exhibitions and more than fifty tasting sessions of both Italian and foreign wines. The expo also offers a series of talks, seminars, workshops, and conferences that focus on the key issues relating to supply and demand in the wine sector. In addition to the exhibition that is geared toward the wine industry, Vinitaly also places some focus on special displays and buyers’ clubs promoting products "Made in Italy." This allows emerging market companies to meet and greet potential partners, clients, in order to achieve some branding rights. The 47th edition of Vinitaly will be held in Verona, Italy, from Sunday, April 7 to Wednesday, April 10.
