Ali Diya and the other as Hassan Nayef Nassar, as the third person who was a passerby was unidentified. All casualties were rushed to Al Arz and Joudeh hospitals. The sources confirmed that Diya and Nassar were carrying the bomb before it exploded next to a car belonging to Alain Serhal, the son of Lebanese Judge Albert Serhal who wasn’t in the car at the time of the explosion. The explosion took place near Esso gas station on the inner Antellias road at 11.30 a.m. local time, behind Mar Elias Church. Security sources said that the bomb went off as the perpetrators were planting an explosives device on a white Nissan Murano with the car plate number 29592. Sources said that the judge’s son, Alain Albert Serhan had been driving the vehicle at the time of the explosion. However, sources could not say whether the son or the judge were the targets in the attack.
