20 members of the Houthi and Saleh militias were killed and others were wounded during a search operation carried out by the Yemeni army at locations and buildings southwest of Midi city in Hajjah province besieged by the governmental troops from all directions. A military commander said that the army raided the positions of the insurgents in the western areas of the Yemeni city of Midi.

The attacks coincided with new raids carried out by the Arab Coalition’s aircraft on the positions and reinforcements of the militias in the districts of Makbina and Moze the west of Taiz. The Arab Coalition also targeted the insurgent militias near Khaled Bin Al Waleed Camp, as they managed to kill five militants and injured others.

On Friday evening, the Houthis fired a missile at a civilian house in Taiz province, central Yemen. According to sources of the Popular Resistance, the Houthi militia fired a Katyusha rocket on the village of Jabjaba in the Directorate of the south-east of the province. The sources added that the Houthi missile resulted in the death of three civilians, including two children.

Houthi militia launched a heavy artillery attack against the villages of Al-Sayahi area in the western part of the province, as they also clashed with the governmental troops at Dale governorate. Sources revealed that the clashes led to the killing and injury of a large number of militants and governmental troops.

military sources, in the northern Yemeni province of Marib, said on Thursday that eight soldiers of the government forces, including a senior officer were killed and about 20 others were injured by Houthis' shelling targeted a military site in Sarawah, west of Marib.

The sources added that among the dead were the commander of the 3rd battalion in the 81nd brigade, Colonel Abdullah Al-Rashidi, and three soldiers from his companions, in addition to 4 soldiers of the brigade, noting that a number of wounded were severely injured.

The sources said that Houthis militants and forces loyal to the ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh targeted the military post by Katyusha rocket, early today. In Baidah province, the national army and resistance forces achieved, on Thursday, significant progress at Zaher directorate.

Informed sources added that the military and the resistance launched a surprise attack on the positions of Houthis at 3 am, indicating that they were able to control the sites where Houthis were based to bomb the homes of citizens.

On the political side, UN Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed revealed that there are negotiations held currently to suspend the military attack against Hadida Port. He expressed his aspiration that the current negotiations will be the first step to achieve cease fire in the country and to push the conflicting parties to return to the negotiating table.

On its hand, Kuwaiti government expressed its readiness to host the negotiations between the Yemeni different parties to pave the way for signing the final agreement to reach a political solution in the country. It called the different parties to work for finding political solution for the Yemeni crisis as soon as possible.
