9/11 attacks
London - Arabstoday

9/11 attacks Al-Qaeda has criticised the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s controversial claim that the United States is responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Al-Qaeda is widely thought to have orchestrated the attacks.
Al-Qaeda has requested that the Iranian president stop claiming that the 9/11 attacks, which killed more than 3,000 people, were a "conspiracy theory."
The criticism came from the magazine, Inspire, which is affiliated with al Qaeda.
It follows Ahmedinejad’s speech to the UN General Assembly last week, which reiterated his previous claims of conspiracy. The US delegation, along with many of its Western counterparts, walked out.
Ahmadinejad accused the US of exploiting the “mysterious” attacks to gain control of the Middle East.
To give weight to his claim, Ahmadinejad said: ‘ when I offered an idea of an independent investigation into the mysterious attacks, me and my government were subjected to pressure and threats from the US.”
Ahmadinejad also asked "why did the United States not bring Osama bin Laden to justice? Why did they not question him to find out more about the 9/11 attacks? "
