President of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of North Korea Kim Yong-nam highly evaluated the state of relations with Russia, said the Supreme Court’s presiding judge, Vyacheslav Lebedev, who ended his three-day visit to this country on Thursday.
"Kim Yong-nam highly evaluated the state of relations between Russia and North Korea," the Russian Supreme Court’s presiding judge stressed. "He said many good things about Russian justice and the interaction between the Supreme Courts of our countries." According to Lebedev, the head of North Korea’s parliament stressed the importance of cooperation between the judicial authorities of the two countries during the negotiations and noted that there is constructive cooperation in all areas currently between Russia and North Korea. In the conversation with the head of the Russian Supreme Court, Kim Yong-nam also conveyed his best wishes to President Vladimir Putin.
During the visit to Pyongyang, the Russian delegation also held negotiations with President of North Korea’s Central Court Kang Yun-sok. According to the Russian Supreme Court’s presiding judge, these negotiations focused on issues of developing judicial activity and projects on cooperation between the judicial systems of Russia and North Korea. "The issue of organizing the exchanges of groups of judges who will undergo training at Russian and North Korean universities was discussed," Vyacheslav Lebedev noted.
