Libya's head of Presidential Council Fayez Al Sarraj acknowledged the human rights violations committed in all over the country during the recent years, criticizing the groups that ban the travel of women. He stressed the increasing efforts exerted by his government to contain the phenomenon of illegal immigration.
He added, during his speech before UN Human Rights Council, that the clashes witnessed recently in Tripoli between his militants and the militias loyal to the National Salvation government have ended after the execution of the cease-fire agreement sponsored by Bousleim Local Council. He stressed his government's commitment to the treatment of injured people and referral of criminals to the court. He stressed that his government managed to expel ISIS militias from the most areas of the country.
In an attempt to resolve his difference with military leader Khalifa Haftar, Sarraj is scheduled to visit Moscow this week to meet with a number of Russian officials to convince them to perform a role to bridge the gap of difference.
Sarraj stressed that the Russian officials expressed their support for the political solution for the Libyan crisis, while they give the priority to the fight against terrorism so they deal with Haftar as a partner as the leader of Libya's national army.
