The the 30th session of the Palestinian Central Council is scheduled to begin on Sunday at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah to discuss the Palestinian cause, including Palestinian national project, the legitimate right of return, and establishing an independent Palestinian state. The Central Council convenes today in Ramallah despite the absence of five Palestinian factions declared boycotting the sessions, namely the Popular Front for Democracy, the National Initiative, Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Head of the National Council Salim Zanoun had said earlier that “The purpose of holding the session is focused on the development of executive mechanisms for decisions issued by the National Council at its last session, as well as decisions issued by the Central Council in previous sessions, especially the last session held in August The past, in order to protect the future of the Palestinian cause, and our people. “
