Two Palestinian workers were injured on Sunday after they were hit and run by an Israeli settler driving a vehicle outside the illegal settlement of Karni Shomron, east of Qalqilia city in the occupied West Bank.
Witnesses said the settler ran over Oqab Abdul-Hazif and Ameer Raji, injuring the first one seriously in the head and the latter moderately in the head and shoulder.
The two were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
There has been an increase of violence by extremist Jewish settlers during the past few days. On Friday night, a 48-year-old Palestinian mother of eight was killed when Israeli settlers threw rocks at the car she was in with her husband on a northern West Bank road.
The woman, Aisha Muhammad Rabi, was hit in the head by a stone thrown at the car she was in on a road south of Nablus. Her husband was moderately injured.
Settlers also blocked many roads especially in the northern West Bank as well as pelted stones at many Palestinian vehicles and pedestrians on roads.
