World No.1 Serena Williams
New York - Arab Today

World No.1 Serena Williams broke yet another record at the US Open, winning her 307th Grand Slam match with an emphatic win over Johanna Larsson to reach the second week.
World number one Williams dominated Sweden's Johanna Larsson 6-2, 6-1 to surpass Martina Navratilova for most Grand Slam wins by a woman with 307. Not only has she surpassed Navratilova, she matched Roger Federer's mark for men.
Awaiting Serena in the fourth round will be Kazakh powerhouse Yaroslava Shvedova, who survived a late surge from China's Zhang Shuai to reach the second week of the Open for the first time, 6-2, 7-5.
