Emirati Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan (L)
HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, urged more effective participation in the efforts to promote and exchange cultural experiences and expertise and knowledge between peoples of
the world in order to spread fraternity and peace.
Citing the large number of cultural events organised in UAE, he also expressed confidence in the creative contribution of Emiratis to the progress and openness of the country.
In his remarks as he toured the 24th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF). He also gave directives to purchase a wide collection of books and publications for the inmates of punitive and reformatory establishments and for the ministry of interior's centres of people with special needs. He was accompanied by senior officers and officials.
During his tour to the book fair, the minister also viewed the Braille printing machines (embossers) on display at the stand of Abu Dhabi Reads Campaign.
While there, H.H. Sheikh Saif attended the signing ceremonies of fifteen new books by Emirati police officers.
The youngest Emirati writer, Abdullah Al Ahbabi, 7, dedicated his first work 'The Giraffe and the Dove' to H.H. Sheikh Saif during the tour.
