Asilah International Children's Theater Festival
The Theatrical Meeting Association in Asilah from Augusts 24-30 will organize Asilah International Children's Theater Festival, with intensive international participation from Arab and European
countries which will compete through children's theatrical shows to take the festival award. The festival will witness strong competition, as shows compete through uniqueness, innovativation and high value shows. Organizers revealed that the festival will include six artistic Arabic figures in the sixth forum for children's theater organized by the association.
The statement of the festival administration received by Arabstoday stated "the ninth round of the program will include several activities and theatrical shows including "Serwal Ali" (Ali's Trousers) from the Theatrical Meeting Association of Morocco, and " Alice in Wonderland" (Alis Fe Belad el-Agayeb) for Baghdad theater band, "Let's share" (Haya lenat3awan) by el-Awael sedi Belabas band Algeria, "Medo and the Naughty kids" (Medo wal Ashkiaa) by the arts and culture association Taif Saudi Arabia, "the golden pears" (al-Komthra al-Zahbia) by Mozon theater Oman, "Hayena" by Hagitkom band in Morocco, "Sugar story" (Hekayet Sokar) by the Egyptian project for oppressed theater, "my life in land" (hayaty fl bar) for the higher family commissioner AUE, "Snow white" (Baydaa el-Thalg) by LA fabric Avignon, "the three pigs" (Al Khanazeer Al- Thalatha) by Adapom Marseille-France and "the magic club" (al-Nady al-Sehry) by the university theater club Jazan / Saudi Arabia.
The program will include summer university theater workshops and an adult theatrical show entitled "Hypochondriasis" (Marid el-Wahm) in addition to an honoring seminar for the founder of the festival Avignon Jean Vilar with Jack Tiffany, the manager of Vilar house and Damian Malenas from the Avignon university cultural mission.
Organizers announced that six Arabic figures will be honored in the sixth forum for Children Theater organized by the association.
They are: Ahmed al- Eid, Adel al-Khamis, Hamadal-Gaser, Ali al-Shohaby, Othman al-Howayel, and Khaled el-Kadery due to their services in the artistic field for the Retag and Warf theater band.
The forum this year offer several awards including: best show, best writer, best director, best first, second and third actor, best sound effects, best lighting, best decoration and best fashion.
