Many Arab actors and singers expressed their regret for participating in certain artistic works during their career. Arabs Today sheds light on some stars who did not hesitate to admit their shame of some of their works, mainly Egyptian actor Adel Imam who regretted his role in “Al Sayyed Darwesh” movie, starred by Egyptian actress Hend Rostom and actor Karam Mutawea. He played a role of an assistant of a belly dancer, adding that he wished if he can eliminate this movie from his career.
Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbe also expressed her regret for presenting certain video clips, as she wore revealing clothes, especially in “Mish Adra Astna” and “Matoulsh L’ had” songs. Egyptian singer Tamer Hosni said that he felt really sorry for his song “Khaleha Taklak” which was presented in “Omar and Salma 2” movie. Hosni was heavily criticized for this song by artistic critics and musicians, namely Helmy Bakr who severely slammed Hosni for this song.
Egyptian singer Sheren Abdel Wahab asserted in several TV interviews that she regretted her participation in “Mido Mashakel” movie, starred by Ahmed Helmy in 2003. She explained: “the work team of the movie did not care about developing my acting talent, though they concentrated only on taking advantage from my fame.”
Egyptian actor Ezza Abu Ouf revealed that he considers his participation in “Ayazon” movie as the biggest fail in his career. Abu Ouf said that he accepted to star this movie because he wanted to make a favor for actress Mai Ezz El-Din and the director of the movie, and he was experiencing a financial crisis at the time.
Egyptian actress Yasmen Abdel Aziz also regretted her role in “Krkr” movie, also starred by Mohamed Saad, asserting that she is not ashamed to say that.
