Reham Abdul Ghafoor
Cairo - Marwa Yahya

Reham Abdul Ghafoor The Egyptian artist Reham Abdul Ghafoor, confirmed her rejection to the offer presented by a producer to play the role of "Shukria", Fathi Al Rayyan’s wife, a character that was acted by Reham brilliantly in the TV series "Rayan", which was aired on satellite channels during the last month of Ramadan. The character was played under the pseudo name of "Badria."
Reham, spoke in an interview with "Arabs today” declaring that she will not play the same character again, since she has nothing to add to the character. When it comes to acting, her main interest is in the role itself and what it would add to her persona. She also mentioned that she happily reduced her salary as an actress because of the Egyptian revolution.
However, Reham denied reports published on certain Websites claiming that she apologized to Shukria Rayyan, because of the personal details mentioned on her in the TV series. She clearly stated that she doesn’t even know her in person. She also indicated that Badria’s character is fictional.
Nevertheless, Reham said that she never expected to achieve such a success. She said “the script was well written and I followed Shireen Adel’s (the director) guidance. I wore the colorful gowns, mastered the body language, and had excessive make up.” Hence Reham was able to revolt on her own personal features. She freed herself from the stereotyping of the romantic, character that she had to represent previously. She knows that she excelled in her character, after receiving the praise on her performance.
Recently the actrress palyed the role of “Aisha” in the TV series “Valley of the Kings”, after the main Syrian actress Soulaf Fawakherji apologized. Commenting on the story, the young actress mentioned that she played the role as if it were originally written for her. She enjoyed working with Hosni saleh, in particular because she had the chance to participate in his series “Sheikh Al Arab, Humam”.
In spite of the fact that she appeared in two different series during the last month of Ramadan Reham said “it is not an issue, my roles were different form each other”. And she adds “Badria’s character is the symbol of an obsessed woman who loves herself and her own interests in money. She turned her husband’s life into hell. As for Aisha, she was a victim who keeps on getting into trouble with unexpected incidents. She takes a refuge in the church”.
For the time being the actress is starring a new movie “a moment of weakness” with her colleague the singer Mostapha Amar. The story of the movie revolves around a murder, and the main actor is accused of it. He is a director of an advertising company, who is trying to prove his innocence while trying to discover who the real killer is.
