Actress speaks candidly about celebrity life
Egypt’s young star Heba Magdy revealed to Arabstoday her wish to experiment with her work and roles as the actress makes way for upcoming projects.
Having recently worked in The Fourth Wife, The Issue of
Madam Secretary and Imam Ghazali, Heba expressed delight over the positive response of past projects, pointing out her desire to do something different in “everything I do.”
Being a young Arab actress she believes she is subject to controversy, rejecting accusations of “courting Islamic currents” in The Fourth Wife. Heba said: “Not all veiled women are affiliated to stereotypes.”
The actress also told Arabstoday that she was a candidate for an upcoming series entitled “Lifeline” but was unable to reach an agreement with the channel management. However, she revealed her keenness in political talk shows, stating that although one requires experience and certain specifications for this genre, it was not something she would rule out.
With so much more already on her celebrity place, and with so much more yet to come, this really is just the beginning for Heba Magdy.
