Shaker's latest album The Sweetest Decision was due to release in April
Haitham Shaker has been forced to push back the release of his new album due to the ongoing clashes in Egypt, he told Arabstoday in interview.
The Sweetest Decision will
feature 14 songs and was scheduled for release in April, but the star has postponed its début until later this year.
He told Arabstoday exclusively: "I wish I could launch it on time because I've been absent from the music scene since 2008, when I launched my last album New to Me."
The Egyptian singer said that the current volatile climate in his home country has slowed down recording, but added there were other reasons for the set-back.
“The political and economic have definitely affected the albums production, but mastering difficulties also added to the delay. All the songs still need some issues of fine-tuning.”
Shaker also told Arabstoday that he intends to shoot a music video for one of the songs to coincide with the album launch.
The musician added that his third album should be available by this summer.
