She stressed that she is trying to maintain a good relationship with other actors, and she is always happy to start working with her fellow actors, regardless the importance of her role, especially if it has a deep message that benefit the society.
Barsona plays two roles in 'Memory' drama, which has been screened on the Lebanese Broadcast channel “LBC”, as she is the writer of the series, and one of the main actresses in the drama itself.
Rita said that, she memorized her role well, like she does with any script for any other writer, however it was easier for her this time, because she knew exactly what she wanted to say, and translated in her role, to point out the message she wants to reflect to both the Lebanese society and the whole Arab world.
Rita plays both comic and dramatic roles perfectly, yet she thinks that a comic role would require greater efforts, otherwise it would be a big failure; she added that there is a hundred of actors and actresses in Lebanon mastered playing dramatic roles, but few of them can make you laugh, "Comedy is more difficult than drama, and the comedian is not a clown, but a spontaneous actor, who can put a big smile on your face." She added.
Rita pointed out that she always seeks a change as "the true actress should play any role, and I become who I am only after hard work, I started with secondary roles, and I could not rejects these roles, because there are many people waiting for such a chance, and thank God, I have proven myself to be a good actress.” She added: “ Marwan Haddad, producer, believed in my talent, and I was given the chance to play some roles that impressed my audience.”
Barsona denied that she will act in the second part of the drama 'Generations', was screened on MTV, where she just played a minor role.
She said that she currently lives in the USA and it is hard for her to be in Lebanon because her husband and her child are in the States, and she needs to take care of them, “family comes first.” She said.
Rita has also denied the rumors which claimed that she will quit soon, she said that “some people say that for their own reasons.”
Rita is a mother of one son called “Owen” and she is seriously considering having another baby.
Regarding the small number of the Lebanese series screened on Lebanese channels, Barsona said:" how could production be abundant? And the State does not subsidize art, like what happened in Syria. Thanks God the state has adopted a law for us, after 50 years, so we are now longer amateurs in the eyes of authority; we now have a profession, and we have been given health and aging insurance".
