Model, actress and singer Mirva Kadi Beirut – Sieman Asfahany Lebanon’s Mirva Kadi has told Arabstoday that she will continue to embrace her multitalented nature. Mirva began modelling at the age of 14 and in 2008 she released her first song in the Egyptian dialect called Every Minute The video for which was directed by the famous Lebanese director Caroline Labaki. In 2011 she returned to the runway to represent Lebanon in Miss Model of the World in China. If she had to pick her favourite moment in the spotlight though, Kadi told Arabstoday it would be working in cinema produced especially for online distribution. She also understandably relished “conquering the music business with a solo album”. Kadi said she is “against the phenomenon of specialising in just one sector. If a person has more than one talent, why not?” Kadi also told us about her experience on MTV Lebanon’s “Dancing with the Stars,” which she said “has bought me back to life.” She said the competition had encouraged her to undergo dance training to “enhance her natural energy,” and she is confident the number-one prize is hers. “Fame is beautiful,” Mirva explained “especially when it’s genuine and lasting.”
