Actress Kinda Alloush Cairo – Khaled Ali TActress Kinda Alloush has hit back at rumours that her new television series was postponed until after Ramadan because of alleged immoral scenes and denied there were any such scenes in the first place. “There are no hot scenes in “Ala Kaf Afreet" (On the palm of a ghost) and it definitely has not been banned during Ramadan because of such scenes.”, said by the Syrian actress who set the record straight over gossip that the show was pulled on the basis immoral content which was deemed inappropriate for the Muslim holy month.
Kinda said in an exclusive interview with Arabstoday that although the theme of the series is daring and bold, it doesn't have any rude scenes. “The series was postponed due to lack of time. We could have exerted our utmost to finish shooting the series before Ramadan but the rush may have compromised on the quality. The production company decided it was better to postpone screening the series until after Ramadan".
She continued: “I believe that the timing of releasing the series until after Ramadan will make the audience watch with full attention and a clear mind. I would have been so sad if it was postponed, for example, for a whole year as it would be then out of date. The decision to display it in the period between this year’s Ramadan and the next’s will open the door for more seasons to display
dramas at periods and not during Ramadan."
Kinda mentioned that she does not know exactly when they will resume filming the series, but it will most likely to be after the holy month of Ramadan.
“Ala Kaf Afreet" will star Khaled El Sawy, Kinda Alloush, Ahmed Wafik, Rasha Mahdi and Mohammed Abu Dawood and was written by Yahya Fekry and directed by Kamal Mansour. The events of the series revolve in the world of business and the impact of Egyptian revolution. It will also address the issue of the corruption of businessmen and government ministers.
