Egyptian actor Yehia el-Fakhrany
Egyptian actor Yehia el-Fakhrany revealed to Arabstoday that he wants to distance himself from the political problems in Egypt in order to focus on his new movie “El Khawaga Andel Qader” (The Foreigner, Abdel Qader).
El-Fakhrany said he was satisfied with the success the series achieved, in which he worked for the second time with writer Abdel Rahim Kamal. He explained that he loved the script of the series: "I love the fact that Islam is has a good image in these series. Religious extremism has tarnished our religion's reputation over the last ten years in Egypt. I felt that it was my duty to introduce this aspect of Islam in my work."
El-Fakhrany said that he always likes to work with new directors such as Sherif Arafa, Saeed Hamed or Sandra Nashaat as he enjoyed different point of views and perspectives. He also added that the cast for the series was a very good choice.
When asked about the other works produced during Ramadan, he said: “I was very busy with filming during Ramadan, and I was not able to watch any series at all - not even mine! But I do intend to watch all my fellows' work when it broadcast again."
He also mentioned his less successful work like like “El Marsa Wal Bahar” (Port and the Sailor), or “Lama El Talaab Fat” (When the Fox Passes by): "I am happy with everything I have achieved, but its success depends on God's will.

Young people need to understand what it the real Islam. I'm glad to see that the message reached young people. They should never let the extremists take control over their minds."
