Lebanese actress and singer Marwa
Lebanese actress and singer Marwa has told "Arabstoday" that there are "some who seek to expel me from Egypt, especially after a revealing shot from my film ‘Ahasees’ (Feelings) was leaked." Marwa stated
this was not the first time she was threatened, and there were many attempts to stop her career as an artist in Egypt. She added that she received a phone call from Ola Ghanem who was accused of leaking the shot, but Ola as well as the director denied the allegations, while the producer claimed they did not know of its existence. She added that she had filed a lawsuit regarding the issue.
Marwa is now reading the script of a TV series that might be shot in Ramadan, in addition to a film entitled ‘The Political Flavour’ which she sees as a quantum leap in her career, especially after she stopped playing seductive roles a year and a half ago.
Marwa is also preparing a new song and intends to make more in the future.
She now lives in Egypt and said she was not thinking of going back to Lebanon for the time being due to work obligations, though she occasionally visits her mother there.
