Egyptian superstar Adel Imam
Egyptian superstar Adel Imam has been exposed to major criticism in the recent period. What is strange is that the criticism he received during the past few days, was not from critics who criticised his last series “Nagy Atalla’s team", where
he was criticized by a number of his friends including Egyptian actor Farouk el-Fishawy, Egyptian author Medhat el-Adl, Tawfiq Okasha and an Israeli journalist.
The Egyptian actor Farouk Fishawi described the Egyptian actor Adel Imam as the actor of the former regime and one of the actors who supported Mubarak's inheritance of Egypt’s rule, but he denied the charge of insulting religions in his films that was directed to Adel Imam.
El-Fishawy said in a press statement "Adel Imam made many important works and did not insult religion in any of his films, and those who have filed lawsuits are people searching for fame."
The screenwriter Medhat el-Adl directed a criticism and reproach at the actor Adel Imam for his last series, "Nagy Atalla’s team" on his personal page on the social networking site "Twitter."
Medhat el-Adl wrote two short comments saying:" Adel Imam's series exceeded the viewers’ ability to endure his comedy and ridicule. Mohammed Imam continues as usual his father’s way as a charming irresistible ladies' man... It is not my habit to criticise a series of my colleagues, but the value of Adel Imam, millions who were waiting for him, and the importance of the issue raised, pushed me to criticize him with great sorrow and sadness."
The owner Faraeen TVchannel, Tawfiq Okasha had launched a fierce attack on Adel Imam, and described him as: "One of the most important men of Freemasonry in Egypt."
Okasha’s attack on the leader is on the background of statements published by “el-Fajr” (Dawn) the Egyptian newspaper attributed to the artist Adel Imam, in which he mocked Tawfiq Okasha saying: "I love Tawfiq Okasha so much, I even follow him up well, and he makes me die of laughter, and became the first comedian for me after the departure of Muammar Gaddafi, who was a special comedian.”
Okasha launched a sharp attack on Imam after receiving a call from one of the viewers, who showed his displeasure with the leader's remarks, during the call, he said, "Adel Imam began his career as Hlfot and ended with alzheimer... So he thought that he is a leader."
He added: “Madraset el-Moshaghben (school rioters) was the beginning of the destruction of society, and spreading thoughts at home that serves global Freemasonry. It was the first brick that contributed to the destruction of education in Egypt. And if you make a connection between the play and the subsequent defeat of Israel in the war of '73 and between what happened after that of an Israeli fierce attack through sabotaging the Egyptian culture aided by global freemasonry, we will find a connection to this actor in sabotaging Egyptian culture."
In the programme “Akher Saa” (the last hour) by Atef Abdul Rashid on “al-Nas” TV channel (the people channel), the programme’s guest Mohamed al-Saghir, a scientist of “al-Sharai Assembly” launched a fierce attack on what he described as "Alroidpa" who speak in public affairs - meaning the artists – he said one of them they call “el Zaeem“ (the leader) and he is nothing but an actor.” He calling those with titles that they do not deserve to be treated like stars and superstars.
The attack on Adel Imam was not only by the Egyptians but also by Israeli journalists because of his last series "Nagy Atalla’s team" where the events of the series expose certain aspects and details that make Israelis get angry about including the Egypt-Gaza tunnels.
Roi Kais editor of the Arab affairs in "Yediot Ahronot" newspaper wrote a technical report stating "Israel, the occupation and spyware. This is what the Arabs are watching in Ramadan, monitoring the most important Arab "series that talks about Israel and criticises its policies of occupation against the Palestinian and Lebanese.
