Backstage at Jean Paul Gaultier spring/summer 2013 London - Arabstoday Jean Paul Gaultier has announced that he is launching a streetwear line for men and women, set to be unveiled in June 2013. The line follows a new licensing agreement with Italian clothing company Ittierre SpA in October who will produce the label's menswear line from autumn/winter 2013-14, whilst the women's ready-to-wear will be produced by Gibò SpA. The company has previously produced collections for brands including Roberto Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana. A name for the new Gaultier label has not yet been revealed. The streetwear line will apparently reflect the brand’s signature style. For Gaultier spring/summer 2013 revisited his greatest hits with a collection in homage the 1980s featuring fashion fit for the likes of Abba, Boy George and Bowie. The line went down a storm with fashion critics, incorporating androgynous tailoring for Annie Lennox, shoulder pads galore for Grace Jones and lingerie looks for Madonna.
