2 people killed themselves with poison overdose
Yemen’s Interior Ministry has announced that 20 Yemenis committed suicide during May due to the social and economic problems.
According to the ministry's official figures, two-thirds of the victims were aged between 19 and 35, two were under the age of 15, and just two of them were women.
Majority of the individuals had hung themselves using ropes or cloth. Four of them used firearms, and two took a dose of poison.
The ministry said all 20 suicides were down to social and economic conditions.
Eight people killed themselves in the capital Sanaa, with five ending their lives in the city of Hadida.
