Beautiful Barbados
A new eBook travel guide which offers travellers a simple way of planning every aspect of their holiday to Barbados has been launched by Definitive World Guides. Definitive Barbados, officially endorsed by the Barbados Tourism Authority,
Offers a unique one stop shop for all the essentials a traveller needs to plan their trip with in-depth content, full colour images and six specially commissioned maps of the island.
Based on the concept of "What shall we do today?", Definitive Barbados allows travellers to discover the real Barbados, highlighting the best or the most unusual places to eat, the wealth of land and water based activities and historic places of interest, visitor attractions and cultural highlights. It makes easy work of creating that perfect itinerary that will make the most of every minute of treasured vacation time.
Within its excellent coverage, readers are given a comprehensive introduction to the island’s history, geography and politics with links to essential travel information from "How to Get there" to "Getting Around" and "Where to Stay", as well as useful facts covering everything from banks to medical facilities, duty-free shopping, tipping and taxes. The island’s accommodation is well laid out providing the reader with every option available, whether travelling as a couple, with family or for an active or relaxing break.
The guide is easy to use. Readers simply select from a List of Contents and then navigate through to their preferred sections of interest. For instance, selecting the ‘Fishing’ option, takes readers directly through to an assessment of the activity, a list of charter companies and boat trips. From there, readers can then select specific companies that fit their requirements.
Adrian Moss, Director of Publishing for Definitive World Guides says, “Definitive Barbados is the first in a series of new island e guides and, we believe, the first of its kind for the Caribbean. Vacations are expensive so we’ve worked very closely with travellers and our contributing journalists to make sure each visitor has the very best information to make the most of every minute of their time on the island. We’ve made them easy to navigate, with exciting content and appealing images and we are confident they will be a huge hit for anyone planning to visit the Caribbean.”
Says Series Editor James Henderson: “We’re delighted to be launching Definitive World Guides’ brand new series of eBooks with this excellent guide, Definitive Barbados. The island has an exceptional amount to do and see, and some of the best accommodation in the region – as readers of the new e guide to Barbados will see at a glance.”
Definitive Barbados, available now on Amazon in North America and Amazon in the UK has been specially created for e Readers including Kindle, Google Nexus, Kobo, iPad and Nook, retailing at US 10.00 (approximately GDP 6.99). It will also be available at Apple iBookstore, Barnes & Noble, kobobooks.com and a wide range of independent eRetailers soon.
The move to digital products form part of major expansion plans announced recently by Definitive World Guides, owners of Definitive Caribbean, with over 20 exclusive titles planned for 2012-2013.
