Abu Dhabi International Airport
Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

The world's biggest survey of air travellers has seen staff at Abu Dhabi International Airport voted the best airport staff in the Middle East for the third year. The prestigious Skytrax Award was presented to Abu Dhabi Airports at the World Airport Awards ceremony in Paris, France, on Wednesday 11th March, 2015.
The winning of this award further reaffirms Abu Dhabi's position as a world leading aviation hub, in line with Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, and bringing closer Abu Dhabi Airports ' vision to be the world's leading airports group. Alongside the award, Abu Dhabi International Airport has been rated as a 4 star airport for the second year to place it once again amongst leading airports worldwide.
Expressing his delight at receiving the award, Ali Majed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports, said, "Winning this prestigious award for the third year speaks volumes for Abu Dhabi Airports ' ability to consistently deliver an outstanding passenger experience. Passenger numbers have been rising inexorably as more and more people visit Abu Dhabi, and it is our duty to ensure they receive the best possible treatment at our airport.
We are doing this through a considered programme of capacity enhancement, through the addition of new and exciting retail, entertainment and food & beverage facilities, and through the application of innovative technologies to ensure that they stand comparison with anywhere else in the world. Another key factor here is the commitment we receive from our partners at the airport from Airport Police, Immigration, Customs and airlines to whom I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation. As for our staff, the fact that passengers themselves have voted for them in such numbers is the best accolade one can aim for, and for that I am extremely proud."
Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, commented, " Abu Dhabi International Airport goes from strength to strength and its efforts to improve the facilities available to passengers and to ensure a smooth and enjoyable passage through the airport have not gone unrecognised. In a highly competitive region, this is an outstanding achievement and I congratulate them on their continued success."
Skytrax operates "The World Airport Survey" through their Airline Rating System which is recognised worldwide as the professional, unified, airline-quality rating classification and the independent airline industry benchmark for quality excellence. The World Airport Awards are the most prestigious recognition of quality for airports across the world, based on the annual Skytrax survey.
