Dubai Airports, operator of the world's second busiest aviation hub, on Thursday said it has been named as the Employer of the Year at the Middle East HR Excellence Awards 2013 in a ceremony in Dubai on Tuesday evening
.
The Institute for International Research (IIR), part of Informa plc, a leading international provider of specialist information and services for the academic, scientific, professional and commercial business communities, gives The Employer of the Year award to a company or organisation that demonstrates superior people management strategies resulting in a productive, engaged and motivated workforce and becoming an employer of choice.
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, commented, "The past year has seen the Human Resources '&' Development team work very hard to deliver on a number of important initiatives to help employees develop and engage with our organisation and our community to achieve our goal of making Dubai Airports the employer of choice in the U.A.E. and beyond." The Middle East HR Excellence Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals, departments, teams and organisations that have contributed to the growth and development of the HR industry in the region.
Dubai International Airport, operated by Dubai Airports, is already the world's second busiest airport for international passengers, and is projected to handle 65 million passengers by the end of the year.
