The already saturated luxury market in Dubai is about get more crowded with the opening of a new Four Seasons hotel.
As far as luxury hotels go, particularly in the city of superlatives where everyone is frantically trying to one-up each other with the tallest and largest of everything, the new Four Seasons Dubai at Jumeirah Beach is modest in size at just five storeys.
But, as the saying goes, size isn’t everything. Though more restrained than other properties in the area like the Burj Al Arab, where guests are handed gold-plated iPads, luxury features include a beachfront watersports center that will offer activities like kayaking and paddleboarding and be large enough to host catamarans and dinghies.
All 237 guest rooms and suites come with panoramic views of the sea or the glittering Dubai skyline, punctuated by the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa.
Rooms include marble flooring, walk-in closets, customizable beds and a luxurious bathroom covered in sheets of silver leaves.
Arabic accents highlight the Spanish-Mediterranean architecture while colors and textures reflect the seaside lifestyle.
The Four Seasons Dubai at Jumeirah Beach is scheduled to open November 1.
