Indian luxury train
Maharajas’ Express, the latest in the fleet of Indian luxury trains, will have a total of six runs in the month of December. The luxury train offers five journeys - Heritage of India, Treasures of India, Gems of India, Indian Splendor and Indian Panorama. Maharajas’
Express will embark on its Heritage of India journey for two times in December and one time for the rest four trips.
The journey dates are as follows December 1 and 29 (Heritage of India), December 9 (Treasures of India), December 12 (Gems of India), December 15 (Indian Panorama) and December 22 (Indian Splendor). The departure schedule for these five journeys is provided on the website of Indian luxury trains.
Maharajas’ Express is dubbed as the answer for Venice Simplon Orient Express train and by far considered as the most luxurious train in Asia. The luxury train was the first runner up at the Conde Nast Traveler Readers Choice Award in the "Specialist Tour Operators" category in 2011 and adjudged as the “Best Luxury train” by CNBC Travel in 2010.
Calling Maharajas’ Express a virtual five star hotel is not an overstatement as it is equipped with central air conditioning, pneumatic hydraulic suspension, LCD television, WI-FI internet, electronic safe and water filtration system. The total passenger capacity of this luxury tourist train is 88 passengers.
