Experts have pushed for more intense security presence in Sharm
Cairo - Mohamed Abdullah

Experts have pushed for more intense security presence in Sharm The rate of occupancy in Sharm el-Sheikh hotels has witnessed a notable decline, says Head of Foreign Relation Committee of the Egyptian Union for Tourist Chambers Adel Abdel-Rzaek. Rzaek affirmed that the kidnapping of Egyptian soldiers in Rafah had some implication in the figures - which saw a 55 per cent fall - adding that experts have pushed for intensifying security presence in Sharm.
However, Rzaek envisions figures to increase in the coming period, expecting hotel occupancy to rise by 65 per cent.
Sharm el-Sheikh is known as the city of peace, and has been chosen as one of the best five tranquil cities in the world by UNESCO.
