This year's Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, ADIBF, will not only serve up some ‘food for thought' but also some tasty treats as the event once again hosts a Show Kitchen alongside the more literary pursuits.
The 25th Anniversary event, organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, TCA Abu Dhabi, will take place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, ADNEC, from May 7th-13th and will once again have live cooking demonstrations by internationally renowned chefs.
The Show Kitchen will offer delicacies from around the world, giving visitors the chance to sample the delights of such kitchen talents as chef Wan, 'Culinary Ambassador' of Tourism Malaysia, Manal Al Alem, ‘The Queen of the Arabian Kitchen', Swedish star, KC Wallberg, and Indian food expert, Vandana Jain.
Every day, chefs from different corners of the globe will share their country's traditional dishes and recipes, as well as home cooking tips with expert nutritionists discussing healthy food.
The region's fastest growing book fair, ADIBF attracted 1,125 publishing houses last year with more than 100 authors participating in its seminars and discussions. Almost 250,000 people visited ADIBF 2014 and sales grew to Dh35 million.
