Solar Powered Fresh Air Skylight requires no wiring
Skylights are a great way of letting extra light into your house, better yet are once that can be opened and are effective at releasing the hot, stuff air that rises to the ceiling.
Their location usually means they’re difficult to open with running an electrical wire up to them, Velux has come up with a solution with the debut of it no-wiring-require Solar Powered Fresh Air Skylight this April.
The Fresh Air Skylight has its own built-in rooftop solar panel that charges an incorporated battery, even on cloudy days or non-south-facing roofs. That battery in turn powers a motor that automatically opens and closes the skylight controlled by a wireless remote. With the remote, users can also schedule the skylight to open and close at specific times.
A sensor next to the solar panel detects raindrops which prompts the skylight to automatically close in the event of a heavy rain.
The Solar Powered Fresh Air Skylight is available in a variety of sizes and glazing options, with prices ranging from approximately $1,015 to $1,915.
