Lotus cars has unveiled its fastest and most expensive series production car to date: the 3-Eleven.
The British manufacturing leader in high performance sports cars made the showing at the 2015 Goodwill Festival of Speed in West Sussex, England.
The Lotus 3-Eleven features a brand new lightweight composite body, a revised V6 engine charged to 450 hp and an open cockpit design. The car comes in two versions -- Road and Race -- promising both high performance and precision.
"We always say that to make a sports car better, you make it faster and lighter," said Jean-Marc Gales, Chief Executive Officer for Group Lotus plc, during the Goodwood Festival. "The new Lotus 3-Eleven carries that philosophy to a new level, and is perfectly in keeping with our brand values."
