Renault Middle East has announced that the New Renault Koleos has won the “Best Sub Compact SUV” award at the Middle East Car of the Year (MECOTY) ceremony.
The annual MECOTY awards, held on March 30 in Abu Dhabi, reached its final round after nine months of conducting regional test drives by renowned motoring journalists and public voting.
Marwan Haidamous, managing director of Renault Middle East, said: “We are proud to be recognized by one of the most prestigious awards in the regional automotive industry.”
He added: “It is the third award in a row received so far, in less than three months, for the new Koleos following the ones from Arab Wheels and Sport Auto Magazines. Everyone agrees that the new Koleos combines style, comfort and advanced technology and has all the hallmarks of a charismatic SUV. These distinctions confirm the renewal of the Renault band and new product line-up initiated with the new Koleos, Talisman and now with Symbol, Megane and Captur. (It is) so far, one of the youngest and most attractive range in the market.”
Getting rewarded at the annual MECOTY awards is a testament for manufacturers that proves that their models are in line with consumer needs and re-affirms their commitment of providing world-class vehicles and after-sales service. The MECOTY is the biggest, most coveted award of the regional automotive industry. It integrates a complex yet transparent nomination and scoring methodology, which is developed, tested and implemented by the most experienced motoring minds of the industry.
The awards were held alongside the second edition of International Motor Show Abu Dhabi and Custom Show Emirates.
