Volkswagen Passat
The Volkswagen Passat has been revealed as the key driver behind the most successful month ever recorded for Volkswagen Middle East. An increase of 415 percent
in Volkswagen Passat deliveries was recorded during the month of July compared to the same period in 2012.
Overall Volkswagen deliveries increased 51 percent in the month of July year-on-year, while the period January to July 2013, represented a growth of 32 percent in overall deliveries compared to 2012. Other high performing models included the best-selling Volkswagen Tiguan and Jetta.
Thomas Milz, Managing Director, Volkswagen Middle East said: "The Volkswagen Passat brings unrivalled German engineering and new levels of affordable luxury and innovation to the region.
"The Passat has proved extremely popular with our customers in the Middle East with a 2.5 litre, 170hp five-cylinder engine, six-speed automatic gearbox, and superior range of technical and design offerings, suiting the needs and discerning tastes of this market."
As well as a range of 16 to 18-inch alloy wheels, the Passat offers electric seat adjustment, leather interiors, a Fender sound system, radio-navigation system, front fog lights with static cornering lights, automatic climate control, ambiance lighting and keyless access.
Thomas Milz, continued: "Despite challenging global market conditions we are experiencing a steady increase in the Middle East and achieving record growth in deliveries for the first half of 2013, as well as for the month of July, is testament to that.

Results for the first half of 2013 revealed continued strong performances for the best-selling Volkswagen Touareg and Tiguan.
The figures also indicated a strong start for the iconic new seventh generation Volkswagen Golf and Golf GTI both of which arrived in the region earlier this year.
