British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said that he discussed during his meeting with Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi a range of issues including the regional security and confronting Daesh terrorist group.
Hammond further said that he and Sisi underlined the need of attaining unity among the international community in order to confront the threat posed by Daesh terrorist group.
The meeting also took up ways of holding a high level security dialogue between the two countries, he added.
Hammond also added that he discussed with Sisi the situation in war-torn Libya.
Britain is the biggest foreign investor in Egypt, the British Embassy in Cairo quoted Hammond as saying on Saturday.
Hammond, who led his country's delegation to Egypt Economic Development Conference, which kicked off in Sharm el Sheikh yesterday, said that the EEDC is considered an opportunity to promote investment between Britain and Egypt.
