Expo Milano 2015
The visit by Undersecretary of Kuwait Ministry of Information and high commissioner to Expo Milano 2015 Salah Mansour Al-Mubaraki was covered intensively by Italian media on Friday. ANSA news agency carried a report under the title of "water
and desert at Kuwait pavilion," which says in part and in effect that the pavilion sheds light on the severe aspects of nature such as the hard desert, very hot weather and scarce fresh water in contrast to marvelous blossoming after the brief rain season.
A visitor of the pavilion at the Expo can get a unique insight into how Kuwait managed to employ its cash resources to tame nature and create a welcoming, dynamic and lively country, according to the report.
Under the title of "wonders of Kuwait pavilion," the Corriere della Sera, one of Italy's best-selling daily newspapers, wrote that the elements of desert and water will feature prominently at pavilion which will showcase the huge challenges faced by Kuwait while reclaiming barren land and acquiring water.
The pavilion will use hi-tech to simulate storms and set up an aquarium for young visitors to watch the Arabian Gulf marine life, it added.
La Stampa daily said a visitor to Kuwait pavilion will live among wind, sun rays, desert and water and see who Kuwait transformed into a modern society.
The pavilion enjoys a special location between the German and the US pavilions at the intersections of two avenues at the Expo, it noted.
