American University of Ras Al-Khaimah (AURAK)
The American University of Ras Al-Khaimah (AURAK) has conducted an examination for the first batch of 300 Emirati jobseekers in English Language and Information Technology,
as part of the implementation of an agreement signed with the Department of Human Development in Ras Al Khaimah.
The exam, held at the University's Centre for Continuing Education, was part of a plan developed by the Department of Human Resources and AURAK with the goal of providing training to those job seekers without the pre-requisite skills to join the labour market in government or the private sector. The candidates were selected on the basis of data on the website of the RAK Human Resources Department.
The Centre for Continuing Education offers courses for employees from government departments and the private sector in the English language, Arabic language, Information Technology and Career Development. The specialised job areas covered include customer service, accounting, procurement, human resources, secretarial, public relations, sales and SME management.
The exam was for the first batch of candidates following the signing of a partnership agreement between AURAK and the Human Resources Department in Ras Al-Khaimah to train 1,000 Emirati jobseekers in three batches.
